This study aims to discover students’ perception of Grammarly as a tool to help students in writing their summary. The research method used by researchers is a mixed method research with explanations featuring descriptive analysis of quantitative data and in-depth understanding through qualitative data with Convenient Sampling. Quantitative data collecting was modified from Yousofi (2022), Numan Khazaal (2019), and Lazic et al., (2020). The quantitative data is in the form of a questionnaire with close question. There are thirty-seven questions, and there are twenty-one valid questions. The reliability test using the SPSS Program obtained 0.61, meaning it has a reliable instrument. The qualitative data was based on eight artificial questions supporting the quantitative data. This research brings this issue to students scientific writing at UHAMKA university. Thirty-six students participated in obtaining quantitative data, and five students contributed voluntarily to the interview session. The results show that students agree that Grammarly can help students improve their summary writing. So that, Grammarly can help teachers to reduce the time to check their writing and also Grammarly can help reduce teachers’ need to check in detail writing error.
