This research aims to find out whether YouTube videos can improve students' pronunciation in reading aloud activities and students' perceptions of using YouTube as a learning medium in improving student pronunciation in grade 5 students at SD Negeri 04 Tanjung Barat. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a classroom action research design. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were grade 5 students in one class of 31 students. Data collection was carried out using tests, observations, and questionnaires.
The implementation of action research learning to improve English pronunciation skills in reading aloud through YouTube videos in fifth graders at Tanjung Barat 04 Pagi Elementary School is very good and effective because it can improve students' English pronunciation skills. The method used by researcher to improve English pronunciation skills is by drilling sentences and words. This drilling activity is carried out repeatedly until students are able to pronounce the appropriate word pronunciation. The students looked very enthusiastic and happy to learn every word of English that they had not said quite right before. Using YouTube as a learning medium in class makes learning more interesting because students can learn pronunciation by listening to videos and seeing interesting animations.
