This study aims to find out students' perceptions of YouTube for learning
English. In this day of increasingly advanced technology, many universities and
schools use YouTube to help students become more interested in learning English
and to facilitate for them to do so, one of which is in terms of speaking skills. In
this study, researchers used survey methods, and questionnaire. Respondents for
this study were 73 students from the Nutrition Science Study Program and 44
students from Technological and Information. To know reability of the
questionnaire, the researcher used SPSS version 25, and calculating the total data
using Microsoft Excel 2010 . The results of this study show that YouTube can
make it easier for students to learn English, such as making it easier to find
material about English, and that YouTube can also improve speaking skills, such
as correcting pronunciation, gaining new vocabulary, and others.
