The study is aimed to know whether or not anxiety correlates with students speaking skills at the eight-grade students of SMPN 259 JAKARTA. The writer used quantitative descriptive method. The writer used a purposive sampling technique with the minimum sample is 30. To gather the data, the writer used two kinds of instruments to collect the data of two variables. The first instruments are FLCAS questionnaire developed by Horwitz et. al 1986 that consists 20 items with 5-point Likert-Scale. And the second instrument is students speaking test. There are four aspects: grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation and fluency. Based on the analysis by Product Moment correlation, the previous study it was found that r observed = 0.59 was and r table = 0.3 it means that r observe is higher than r table. Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It can be concluded that there is a correlation between students anxiety’ and their speaking skill.
