The objective of the study is to get empirical evidence of the English summative
test for the tenth grade students of SMA Budhi Warman II East Jakarta in the
first semester of the 2014/2015 academic year whether or not it has the quality of
good test in terms of facility value and discrimination index.
The method of the study is quantitative analysis is used in analyzing data
of the difficulty level and discriminating power scores. Furthermore, this analysis
is used to detect the good test item or not. Meanwhile, qualitative analysis is used
to analyze the causes of weakness items.
From the research findings, the writer concludes that the English
summative test for the tenth grade students of SMA Budhi Warman II East
Jakarta in the first semester of the 2014/2015 academic year has good quality of
test in terms of the facility value and the discrimination index.
