Scheduling courses is a very important activity for the teaching and learning process at the
UHAMKA Faculty of Engineering. The background of the design and implementation of the desktopbased
lecture scheduling interface for the UHAMKA Faculty of Engineering is that the UHAMKA
Faculty of Engineering already has a desktop-based application. However, currently the difficulty
faced by lecturers when filling in lecture scheduling is because not all lecturers can access filling in
the schedule so that it makes it slow to fill in the schedule and cannot be connected directly to the
existing system. The purpose of this application is to develop a scheduling desktop application and
test the effectiveness of the system that can be used for admins, lecturers, and heads of study
programs. The design of this application uses the prototype methodwhich consists of collecting needs,
building prototyping, evaluating prototyping, coding the system, evaluating the system, and also
using the system. The results of this study were tested with the black box method and got the results
that the application got a score of 78% from users, lecturers, and staff in processing questionnaire
data stating that the application that had been made was highly approved so it could be concluded
that the making of a lecture scheduling application could help. Head of studyprogram, lecturer, and
admin in filling out the scheduling.
