Toko alat tulis kantor babeh merupakan salah satu usaha yang bergerak di
bidang penyediaan perlengkapan kantor dan kebutuhan sekolah di daerah
Ujung Menteng Jakarta Timur. Sejak toko ini berdiri pemilik toko belum
memperhatikan sistem penjualan yang terstruktur. Dalam menjalankan
operasionalnya toko ini menghadapi sejumlah tantangan, toko babeh belum
memiliki sistem informasi penjualan yang memadai. Selain itu tidak adanya
pendataan stok barang. Toko babeh juga mengalami tantangan dalam
mengawasi transaksi penjualan. Pencatatan penjualan yang tidak teratur
membuat pemilik toko tidak memiliki data akurat terkait barang yang telah
terjual. Di sisi lain, toko babeh tidak memiliki laporan penjualan yang disusun
secara rutin sehingga membuat pemilik toko kesulitan dalam menganalisa pola
penjualan. Untuk mengatasi kondisi ini peneliti bertujuan untuk merancang
sebuah sistem penjualan berbasis website dengan menggunakan metode
waterfall , metode ini memiliki tahapan yang sistematis dan berurutan sehingga
tiap tahapan dapat diselesaikan secara menyeluruh. Penulis memilih platform
laravel sebagai framework pengembangan website, sebab framework ini
mendukung pengembangan website yang efisien, terukur dan mudah dipahami.
Pada bagian penyimpanan penulis memilih menggunakan mysql, penulis
menggunakan mysql disebabkan mysql bersifat open source, mudah digunakan
dan mendukung integrasi dengan framework laravel secara optimal. Semua
kebutuhan penulis disiapkan secara sistematis, mulai dari pengumpulan data
penelitian dengan metode wawancara dan observasi, serta metode pengujian
sistem dengan menggunakan tahapan pengujian alpa testing dan beta testing.
Pada hasil akhir dari seluruh proses penelitian yang dilakukan oleh penulis,
penulis mendapati 4 responden yang terdiri dari 1 pemilik toko dan 3 karyawan
serta 26 responden dari pembeli toko babeh. Dengan adanya pengujian serta
respon dari para responden, penulis berhasil menyelesaikan penelitian ini
sesuai dengan permasalahan yang terjadi di toko babeh, dengan adanya sistem
penjualan berbasis website penulis berharap dapat memberikan fasilitas yang
baik untuk pembeli dalam upaya meningkatkan pelayanan di toko babeh dan
memberikan dampak baik untuk pemilik toko dalam upaya meningkatkan
efektivitas operasional toko babeh.

ABSTRACT

Design and Implementation of a Website-Based Sales System at Babeh Stationery Store in Ujung Menteng, East Jakarta

Babeh Stationery Store is a business providing office supplies and school
supplies in the Ujung Menteng area of East Jakarta. Since its inception, the
owner has not yet developed a structured sales system. In its operations, the
store faces several challenges. Babeh does not have an adequate sales
information system. Furthermore, there is no inventory data. Babeh also faces
challenges in monitoring sales transactions. Irregular sales recording prevents
the store owner from having accurate data on sold items. Furthermore, Babeh
does not have a regularly compiled sales report, making it difficult for the store
owner to analyze sales patterns. To address this situation, the researcher aims
to design a website-based sales system using the waterfall method. This method
has systematic and sequential stages so that each stage can be completed
thoroughly. The author chose the Laravel platform as the website development
framework because it supports efficient, scalable, and easy-to-understand
website development. For the storage section, the author chose MySQL. The
author chose MySQL because it is open source, easy to use, and supports optimal
integration with the Laravel framework. All the author's needs were
systematically prepared, starting from collecting research data using interview
and observation methods, as well as system testing methods using alpha and beta
testing stages. In the final results of the entire research process conducted by the
author, the author found four respondents consisting of one shop owner and
three employees, as well as 26 respondents from Babeh shop buyers. Through
the testing and responses from the respondents, the author successfully
completed this research in accordance with the problems encountered in Babeh
shop. With the website-based sales system, the author hopes to provide good
facilities for buyers in an effort to improve service at Babeh shop and have a
positive impact on the shop owner in an effort to increase the effectiveness of
Babeh shop operations.
