Salah satu
inovasi terkini dalam bidang ini adalah teknologi 5G. Teknologi 5G merupakan generasi terbaru
yang memiliki keunggulan seperti kecepatan transfer data yang tinggi, pita bandwidth yang lebar,
dan gain yang optimal. Dalam penerapan teknologi 5G, memerlukan dukungan perangkat elektronik
sesuai, salah satunya antena mikrostrip.

Advances in communication technology have created a need for communication systems that can
provide high-speed, efficient, and high-quality data transfer services. One of the latest innovations
in this field is 5G technology. 5G technology is the latest generation with advantages such as high
data transfer speeds, wide bandwidth, and optimal gain. In the implementation of 5G technology, it
requires the support of appropriate electronic devices, one of which is a microstrip antenna.
Microstrip antennas are the preferred choice because of their small size, light weight, and easy

fabrication process. In this study, a microstrip antenna was designed that is integrated with an L-
shaped filter and the addition of a through-hole via at the end of the resonator. This antenna is

designed to operate at a frequency of 3.5 GHz for 5G applications using Rogers RT Duroid 5880
substrate material, which has a dielectric constant of 2.2 and a thickness of 1.575 mm.
