Implementasi Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) untuk Identifikasi Ras
Kucing Domestik pada Aplikasi Web
Rio Siswandi
mampu mengklasifikasikan enam ras kucing domestik, yaitu Anggora, Bengal, Persian, Siamese,
Sphynx, dan Tabby, dengan memanfaatkan metode Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Dataset
yang digunakan berjumlah 720 gambar, dikumpulkan melalui sumber terbuka seperti Pexels,
Pixabay, dan The Cat API.

Implementation of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for Domestic Cat
Breed Identification in a Web Application
Rio Siswandi
The identification process of domestic cat breeds often poses challenges, especially for the general
public, due to the visual similarities among breeds in terms of fur color, facial structure, and body
shape. This research aims to develop a web-based system capable of classifying six domestic cat
breeds—Angora, Bengal, Persian, Siamese, Sphynx, and Tabby—using the Convolutional Neural
Network (CNN) method. A dataset consisting of 720 images was collected from open sources such
as Pexels, Pixabay, and The Cat API. The CNN model was designed using a transfer learning
approach with the MobileNetV2 architecture and incorporated early stopping techniques to
prevent overfitting. The model was trained for 30 epochs, achieving a training accuracy of 81.08%
and a validation accuracy of 82.64%, with corresponding loss values of 0.4713 and 0.4572. The
system was implemented using a Flask-based backend integrated with a web interface, enabling
users to upload cat images and automatically receive breed predictions. Testing was conducted
using black-box methods for functionality and model performance was evaluated using accuracy
and loss metrics. The results indicate that CNN can be effectively applied for image-based
classification of domestic cat breeds and has practical potential for integration into web
applications.
