Information System Di Pemerintah Kabupaten Majalengka

Muhammad Akbar Maulana Rahmat

Design of a Tourism Information System Based on Geographic Information

System in Majalengka Regency Government.
Muhammad Akbar Maulana Rahmat

The tourism sector in Indonesia is experiencing tremendous growth, resulting in a surge in demand
for travel services and tourist arrivals, both locally and internationally. Inadequate synchronization
of information often limits the provision of tourism services. This research aims to create a
Majalengka Regency Tourism Information System using Geographic Information System (GIS). This
system uses interactive maps using Mapbox API and Web GIS technology, with MySQL as a
database management system (DBMS), ReactJS for the front-end, and Laravel for the back-end. The
Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was used for the development process. The results
show the effectiveness of this system in improving the accessibility and efficiency of tourism
information, making it easier for tourists to find locations and increase the number of trips to
Majalengka. This method facilitates the long-term and sustainable expansion of tourism in the
district.
