Writing sometimes becomes a boring subject. Student’s score in writing
commonly decrease since they are lazy to learn writing. One of the causes of this
problem is the lack of learning method that is used by teachers in teaching writing.
Besides, teachers usually do not realize that students are different each others. They have their own style in learning that makes them learn effectively.
Nowadays, there are many ways that teachers can do in order to make the
teaching-learning process of writing ‘make sense’ and more effective for the learners. By using many new and innovative learning methods, writing will not become a boring subject for the students, so that they can get a good achievement in writing. O the other side, a learning style is the theory of learning particular to an
individual that presumed to allow that individual to learn best. It proposes that different people learn in different ways. Everyone has a mixture of strengths and preferences. No-one has exclusive one single style or preference. This approach to learning emphasizes the fact that individual perceive and process information in very different ways. The learning style theory implies that how much individuals learn has more to do with whether the educational experience is geared toward their particular style of learning than whether or not they are “smart”. The purpose of the research is the writer wants to know about the effect of learning method a learning style toward student’ writing ability. The research is conducted to increase students’ motivation in learning writing, so that they can improve their writing achievements.
