This study investigates the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in encouraging creative thinking among secondary school students learning English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Indonesia. Using Guilford's Theory of Creativity as a framework, a five-point Likert scale questionnaire was developed and distributed to 271 participants via Google Forms. The data was analyzed using the WINSTEP application, focusing on students' perceptions of AI tools such as Chat-GPT, Grammarly, QuillBot, and Google Assistant in improving their creative thinking ability. The results showed that AI integration significantly supported students in generating ideas, exploring different perspectives, and deepening their creative process. Demographic analysis showed that female students and those aged 15-18 were more likely to utilize AI for creative purposes. These findings highlight the potential of AI to foster creativity and innovation in educational settings, suggesting the need for educators to incorporate AI-based technologies in their teaching methodologies. Limitations of this study include the specific demographic focus and cross-sectional nature of the study, suggesting future longitudinal research.
