The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education is gaining interest, but empirical studies on EFL teachers' perceptions of the use of AI to enhance creative teaching, particularly in Indonesia, are limited. This study aims to explore in-depth perceptions among EFL teachers towards the use of AI as a tool to enhance creative teaching practices. A cross-sectional survey design was used involving 212 EFL teachers selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed through social media and analysed using Rasch model with WINSTEP Rasch software. The results showed that the majority of participants had a high perception of the potential of AI, especially in generating creative lesson plans, interactive learning environments, and enrichment materials. The study found that EFL teachers with less than five years of experience and those teaching at the senior secondary level were more likely to integrate AI into their teaching. Female teachers and pre-service teachers showed more positive attitudes towards AI compared to male teachers and in-service teachers. However, there were some teachers who faced difficulties in learning AI technology quickly and using AI to generate answers. The findings suggest that while AI is seen as a useful tool for creative teaching, further training and research is needed to have the most impact on the long-term use of AI.
