This research investigates the link between informal digital learning of English and communication willingness among students in a vocational school in Jakarta. Engaging 229 students, the present study utilized a 15-item questionnaire to gather quantitative data, with ten items addressing informal digital learning of English and five items focusing on communication willingness. The analysis used the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences SPSS and showed minimal engagement in informal digital learning, correlated with low communication willingness. Moreover, the study uncovered a low active involvement in informal digital learning, corresponding to reduced communication willingness. These findings imply that although students are open to informal digital learning tools, their active participation could be improved, which hinders their willingness to communicate in English. The study underscores the necessity of developing strategies to foster active engagement in informal digital learning to strengthen vocational students' communication skills.
