This study aims to know the effectiveness of cartoon film in increasing students’ vocabulary. This study used a pre-experimental design in the form of one group by giving pre-test and post-test. The implementation of the research used pre-test, treatment, and post-test. To analyze the data the researcher used a t-test statistical analysis. The use of cartoon film media will be significant if t count > t table. Data analysis shows that t count > t table (8.54 > 1.69), then H0 is rejected or Ha is accepted. The results of this study are 1.) The results of students' vocabulary before using cartoon film media seen from the pretest results get an average of 67.8, in the pre-test results, there are 8 students who get 80-100 scores. 2.) The results of students' vocabulary after using the cartoon film media seen from the post-test results get an average of 82.33, in the post-test results there are 18 students who get 80-100 scores. 3) There is a significant difference between students' vocabulary scores before and after using the cartoon film media. It can be seen from the results of the pre-test which obtained an average of 67.8, and the post-test results which obtained 82.33. The results of this study indicate that t count > t table (8.54 > 1.69) Then H0 is rejected or Ha is accepted. This shows that the use of cartoons film is effective in increasing students' vocabulary mastery.
