Listening ability was one of the important skills in foreign language learning, and there had been relatively little research in this specific area. Someone cannot be able to speak, read, and write when they did not have listening skill. The aim of this study was to find out the problems faced by students in listening. This research used case studymethod and was conducted at Senior High School 92 in North Jakarta. Thirty-three students from the eleventh grade were selected as the respondents. The data was obtained by questionnaire and an interview. The results obtained from the data analysis were the difficulties that students face when doing listening comprehension were; lack of vocabulary, students' interest in English, pronunciation, lack of concentration, accent, speaker talks too fast, topic changing, and theydon't trust themselves.
