The aim of the studies turned into to find out empirical proof of whether
or not there is a significant relationship among students’ tension and
speaking skills in Junior high school students. the writer used the
quantitative survey method by the use of the correlation approach. The
population of this research become the eight-grade college students of
SMPN 139 JAKARTA, and the author best took 1 magnificence such as 30
college students for the sample of the research. The gadgets used for this
studies have been the questionnaire on anxiety and the test of speaking
skills. The scores of the 2 variables had been calculated with the useful
resource of the usage of the device of Pearson’s Product 2nd.
The finding of the evaluation and statistical calculation confirmed that
r located is 0.349 and r table is 0.99 within the extensive degree of zero.95
with the degree of freedom (df = n-2) is around 30. As a result, r found is
better than r table. therefore, Ho is rejected and hi is accepted. meanwhile,
by way of applying t-test, it become determined that t observed is 37.47 and
t table is 1.70. So, Ho is rejected and hi is prevalent. therefore, it can be
concluded that there is a significant relationship among students’ anxiety
and their speaking skill of the Junior high school students.
