The Relationship between Habit of Watching English Movies and Ability to Use Vocabulary of The Junior Secondary Scholl Bojong Gede in The 2020-2021 Academic Year

The objective of this was study to find the empirical evidence of whether or not there is relationship between watching English movies habits and ability to use Vocabulary of the eighth grade students of the 02 Public Junior Secondary School Bojong Gede in the 2020-2021 academic year.
The method of the writer was a quantitative correlation method. This method involved the correlation computation by using Pearson’ Product Moment formula of correlation of analysis. The writer presents quantitative data of the relationship between two variables: habits Watching English Movies and ability to use Vocabulary. They ware distributed into 8 classes with the range of 40-41 students each. The total are 327 students, 13 students have medium Watching English Movies Habit scores, 12 students have high Watching English Movies Habit scores, and 3 students have very high Watching English Movies Habit scores. From the calculation above, it was found that the result of r observed was = 4.27 and r table was = 0.308 in the level significance of P = 0.05 with df = 41-2 = 39. Because r observed > r table, Hi is accepted. It means there is a correlation Watching English Movies Habits and Vocabulary.
From the findings of the research, the writer concluded that there is relationship between watching English movies habits and ability to use Vocabulary of the eighth grade students of the 02 Public Junior Secondary School Bojong Gede in the 2020/2021 academic year.
