The objectives of the research was to get the empirical data about the relationship between students’ vocabulary mastery and their writing ability, at the seventh grade students of Junior High Sschool of SMPIT Ummu’l Quro, Depok, West Java, in 2018/2019 Academic Year. The writer used a quantitative research method involving the correlation analysis. The population of the research was all the seventh grade students of SMPIT Ummu’l Quro Depok and the writer took 30 students as the sample of the research through random sampling technique. The instruments used for getting the data were vocabulary test and writing descriptive test. The students’ scores were calculated by using Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation. The finding was that the data of the dependent and independent variables are correlated. It showed that there was significant relationship between the students’ vocabulary mastery and their writing ability.
