The objective of this study is to analyze whether or not the English summative test in the first semester for the ninth grade students on SMPN 263Jakarta in 2017/2018 academic year has the criteria of a good quality test byanalyzing the difficulty level, the discriminating power and the effectiveness ofdistractors. The method that was used in this research was quantitative and qualitative analysis methods. The quantitative analysis was used to analyze the data ofdifficulty level, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distracters. The qualitative analysis used to describe the weak items for making the revision. From the findings of the research, the writer concludes that the English summative test in the first semester for the ninth grade students on SMPN 263 Jakarta in 2017/2018 academic year is not good enough in terms of the difficulty level, the discriminating power and the effectiveness of distractors.
