This study was aimed to find the empirical evidence whether or not the English Summative test for the eleventh grade students of SMAN 88 Jakarta in the second semester of the 2017/2018 Academic Year was in line with the English syllabus of the 2013 Curriculum content. The object of the research was the test item of the English summative test. The method used in this study was descriptive comparative analysis in which the writer analyzed and compared the items of the English summative test with the learning materials in the syllabus as well as the indicators As the instrument, the writer used a checklist in a table arranged according to the learning materials and indicators that were changed into the question form. The descriptive analysis technique was used by the writer. The result was stated based on the criterion from Arikunto. After analyzing and comparing the content of the test syllabus, the writer concluded that the percentage of the conformity between English Summative test and its materials and indicators stated in the syllabus was 33.67%. This percentage is calculated from the average percentage of learning indicators and the average percentage of learning materials was 44.4%. The writer also found two of forty items (5%) that were out of syllabus. In brief, the English summative test for the eleventh grade student of SMAN 88 Jakarta in the second semester of the 2017/2018 did have a good content validity.
