The objective of this research was to measure the readability level of reading texts of “Bahasa Inggris” textbook published by the Ministry of Education and Culture for the eleventh grade students in 2017/2018 Academic Year. The method of the research was descriptive quantitative. In this method, the writer obtained the information concerning the readability of the English comprehension text for eleventh grade students. The instruments were five reading texts taken from the textbook. Based on the research findings, the writer concluded that the readability level of the five reading texts in the textbook used as reading materials for the eleventh grade students was 94. It indicated that the reading texts were not appropriate for the students because they can read the reading texts easily even without the teacher‟s guidance.
