The objective of the study was to get the empirical data of the analysis of reading exercises based on the textbook entitled English Language for the eleventh grade students of SMA Wijaya Kusuma Jakarta, whether or not the textbook was suitable with the 2013 curriculum. The method that the writer used in this research was the descriptive comparative analysis. The writer compared the analysis of reading exercises in the book entitled English Language for the eleventh grade students with the English syllabus of the 2013 curriculum. The analysis of reading exercises included the reading sub skills, reading materials, and reading activities. The instrument of this research was the checklist containing the concordance between the analysis of the reading exercises in the textbook English Language and the English syllabus of the 2013 curriculum. The research findings showed that the average percentage of the analysis of reading exercises in the textbook were relevant with the 2013 curriculum was 61.11%. In other words, the level of conformity was good. Therefore, it can be inferred that the reading materials in the textbook are relevant with the 2013 curriculum.
