The objective of the study is to find the evidence whether or not the English test for the eleventh grade students of SMA Cenderawasih II Pondok Aren is in line with the English syllabus. The study used the comparative descriptive analysis method. In this case, the writer compared the English summative test with the learning materials and objectives based on the syllabus. The instrument was the checklist forms based on both materials and objectives of the syllabus. The materials and objectives of the language skills were identified and arranged into the lists. Then they were changed into the questions for the instrument. Referring to the study analysis, the writer found that the content validity of the English summative test which was administered on SMA Cenderawasih II Pondok aren was not in line with the syllabus. The percentage of materials on the reading skill was 33.3%, the materials on the writing skill was 23%, the objectives of reading skill was 70%, the objectives writing skill was 14.2%. Therefore, the calculation of all percentage was 35.12%. Based on Arikunto’s scheme, the content validity of the English summative test of SMA Cenderawasih II Pondok Aren for the eleventh grade students in the 2016/2017 academic year is not good.
