The objective of this study was to find out whether the English summative test items for the eleventh grade students of SMA Keluarga Widuri Jakarta had the good quality or not in terms of the facility value or difficulty level, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distractor. The test was held in SMA Keluarga Widuri Jakarta on July 2019.
The summative test consisted of 40 multiple choice items. The Population and sample respondent are the eleventh grade deals with 4 classes are totally 152 students. The minimum sample around 30% there were 46 students. The sample was rounded 48 students taken randomly around 12 students of each class from XI IIS 1, XI IIS 2, XI MIA 1 and XI MIA 2.
The result of the data analysis showed that from 40 items, there were 2 excellent items (5%), 5 satisfactory items (12,5%), 15 good items (37,5%), 18 poor items (45%). It showed that 21 maintained items were used in the future test, 17 revised items, and 2 discarded items. Therefore, this finding indicated that the English summative test for the eleventh grade students in the second semester of the 2018/2019 academic year of SMA Keluarga Widuri Jakarta did not have a good criteria of the difficulty level, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distractors.
