The research was conducted to find the empirical evidence of the
effectiveness of using weblog in teaching writing recount text at the tenth grade
students of SMAN 1 Cikarang Barat which has location on Jl. Perum Telaga
Harapan, Blok D, Cikarang Barat.
This paper is an experimental research with a pre-experimental design. It
involved 35 students that were taken randomly as the sample of this research. The
research was undertaken on July, 2015 up to October, 2015. It includes the
observation, pre-test, teaching learning activities, and giving the post-test. After
all the data got next, it was analyzed using t-test analysis to get the result.
From the computation data of this research, the result analysis showed the
t0 was 9.97 and the tt was 1.70. It shows that t0 > tt which means there was a
significant different between using weblog and without using weblog in teaching
writing recount text. In other word, H0 was rejected and Hi was accepted. Thus,
teaching writing recount text by using weblog in the tenth grade students of SMA
Negeri 1 Cikarang Barat is effective.
