The objective of the study is to find out the empirical evidence whether the English summative test for the tenth grade students of the second semester of SMK GEMILANG MODERNLAND TANGERANG in the 2017/2018 is reliable or not. The writer used a survey employing correlation analysis. The technique was parallel test. The hypothesis was measured by Pearson Product Moment.
The writer chooses one class randomly that is Administrasi Perkantoran 1 consists of 30 students. After calculating the data, the writer has got ro = 0.98. with the signification standard 0.05 rt 0.36. Since ro > rt (0.98 > 0.36), so Ho was rejected and Hi was accepted.
From the analysis above gives empirical evidence to the writer to make a conclusion that the English summative test made by the teacher of SMK GEMILANG MODERNLAND TANGERANG in the 2017/ 2018 is reliable. The writter hopes that this study will give the beneficial information that can be used by the teachers, readers and test maker.
