The objective of the research is to find the empirical evidence of whether or not there is a relationship between learning motivation and reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMK ERA INFORMATIKA South Tangerang in the 2016-2017 academic year.
The research uses survey method with the correlation analysis. The method of the research used quantitative data with correlation technique by doing survey and giving test. In this research, the instruments used for getting the data were questionnaire of learning motivation and the form of test for evaluating the students’ reading comprehension. The scores were calculated by using the Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation.
The research findings of the calculation of Pearson Product Moment showed that rtable = 0,349 and robserve = 0,81 in the significance level 0.05. In other words, the correlation analysis proved that ro>rt : 0,980>0,349. It can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It means that there is a relationship between learning motivation and reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMK ERA INFORMATIKA South Tangerang in 2016-2017 academic year.
