The objective of this research was to find outwhether or not the English summative test for the second semester for the ninth grade students of SMPN 209 Jakarta in 2017/2018 Academic Year has the quality of a good test in the terms of facility value, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of options. The method of this research was descriptive quantitative and qualitative analysis. The instruments was English summative test, answer key, and the students’ answer sheets of the writer used in this research. From the result of the item analysis in the term of facility value, it was found that the English summative test has good. They were 13 easy items (26%), 32 medium items (64%), and 5 difficult items (10%). Thus, this test did not have agood proportionbecause the proportion of a good test is 1:2:1, or 25% easy, 50 % medium, and 25% easy items. In the tabulation of discriminating power, it was found that there were 20 good items (40%),20 satisfactory (40%), 7 poor items (14%), and 3discarded items (6%). In the effectiveness of answer key, it was found that there were 39 effective answer keys (78%), 9 less efective answer keys (18%), and 2 ineffective answer keys (4%). Thus, the quality of distractor in this test has good enough because the effective of options take the highest portion. In the efectivenesss of distractor, it was found that there were 145 effective distractors (73%), 43 less effective distractors (21%), and 12 ineffective distractors (6%). Thus, the quality of distractors in this test is good enough. In the omit, it was found that there was 1 omit (2.27%), so all items qualityhas good items.
Finally, it was concluded that the English summative test for the ninth grade of the second semester of SMPN 209 Jakarta in 2017/2018 academic year in general has good qualityin the terms of the facility value, discriminating power, and effectiveness of options.
