The research was done aiming to find the empirical evidence for the conformity and incomfirmity of the English Summative test with the existing English Syllabus of School-Based Curriculum (KTSP) required for the frst semester of the eighth grade students of SMP An- Nurmniyah Tangerang. The objects of the research were the English Summative test and the English syllabus of KTSP. The decriptive qualitative had been used as the method of this research to find out the conformity of the test with the syllabus of KTSP. For this investigation, the test consists of 50 items. 30 items are multiple choices, 10 items are fill in the blank, and 10 items are essay. The writer used checklist to collect data. The data then are calculated by using simple statistical and interpreted using Arikunto‟s scheme of confirmity level. The data of the research indicated content validity of summative test at SMP An Nurmaniyah for the eighth grade students have conformity 40% for reading objectives, 28,6% for writing objectives, 75% for reading materials, and 66,7% for writing materials with the school-based curriculum. The general conformity is calculated 52,6%. According to Arikunto‟s criterion, the result is categorized as suficient test.
From the research finding, the English summative test for the eighth grade students in the first semester at SMP An Nurmaniyah Tangerang of the 2017/2018 Academic year have sufficient content validity.
