The research was done aiming to find the empirical evidence for the conformity
and inconformity of the English summative test with the existing English schoolbased
curriculum (KTSP) required for the first semester of the ninth grade
students of SMP PGRI Jakarta. The objects of the research were the English
summative test with the School-based curriculum (KTSP). The descriptive
qualitative had been used as the method of this research to find out the conformity
of the test with the School-based curriculum (KTSP). For this investigation, the
writer used checklist to collect data. The data are calculated by using simple
statistical and interpreted using Arikunto’s scheme of conformity level. The data
of the research indicated that the English summative test which was administrated
by SMP PGRI 9 Jakarta was in line to the requirement of syllabus of the Schoolbased
Curriculum (KTSP). The percentage of the content of English summative
test which was conformed to syllabus of the school-based curriculum (KTSP) was
68.50%. Based on Arikunto’s Scheme of Conformity Level, it means that the
content validity of the English summative test for the ninth grade students of SMP
PGRI 9 in the first semester of the 2017/2018 Academic Year based on schoolbased
curriculum was in good conformity level.
