The research was done intending to find the empirical evidence for the conformity of the content of the English summative test made by the teacher for the eighth grade students in 2017/2018 academic year conforms to the requirements of the 2013 curriculum 2016 revision. The writer used comparative analysis method which compares and analysis the contents of the items English summative test in the eighth grade first semester of SMPN 179 Jakarta with the English syllabus 2016 revision. The instrument of the research was a checklist to find the data. The writer focused the analysis in comparing the contents of the English summative test and the 2013 curriculum contents which are included the materials of reading and writing skills.
The result of analysis between the test and the content of 2013 curriculum 2016 revision was 64.8%. Based on the Arikunto’s scheme conformity level, the English summative test for the eighth grade students of SMPN 179 Jakarta in on the first semester in 2017/2018 academic year has a good content validity.
