This research was conducted at the eighth grade students in the second semester of SMPN 1 Parungkuda In 2017/2018 Academic Year. The purpose of this study was to get the factual data about the English summative test for the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Parungkuda in the 2017/2018 academic year whether it had the quality of good test or not in term of difficulty level, discriminating power, and the effectiveness of distracter. In accordance with the explanation above, the writer felt necessary to make an analyzed of the English summative test that involved 36 students as representative sample.Based on the data analysis of the research,the tabulation of facility value showed the composition of test;there are 15 items (16%) were classified as easy, 27 items (54%) were classified as medium, and 8 items (30%) were classified as difficult. In the tabulation of discriminating index, the composition of the test shows;there are 9 items (18%) were classified as reject item, 16 items (32%) were classified as poor item, 17 items (34%) were classified as satisfactory item, 7 items (14%) were classified as good item, and 1 items (2%) were classified as excellent item.In the tabulation effectiveness of distracters, the composition of the test shows;there are 21 distracters (14%) were classified as effective, 76 distracters (50%) were classified as less effective, and 55 distracters (36%) were classified as ineffective.In conclusion, it can be said that the English summative test for the second semester of SMPN 1 Parungkuda in the 2017/2018 academic year was good in term of difficulty level, discriminating power, and effectiveness of distracter.
