The objective of the study was to get the empirical answer from the question to the problem: Is the English Summative Test for the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang in the First Semester of the 2016/2017 Academic Year reliable? This study used quantitative method, and the writer calculated the correlation of the students’ scores of the English Summative test and the students’ scores of the parallel test by using Pearson’s Product Moment. In order to collect the data, the writer took a set of the Summative test. There have been 40 items of the test, and all items are multiple choices. The result of the analysis, the writer got ro= 0.985 and rt = 0.312. Because the ro > rt, it can be known that there has been a significant correlation between the students’ scores of the English Summative test and the students’ scores of the parallel test in the English Summative Test for the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang in the First Semester. From the statement above, it can be concluded that the English Summative Test for the Tenth Grade Students of SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Tangerang in the First Semester of the 2016/2017 Academic Year is reliable.
