This study aimed to find the answer of the following question "Are the reading materials of English textbook entitled Pathway to English 2 for eleventh grade students of senior high school in line with the English syllabus of the 2013 Curriculum?"
The writer used a descriptive-comparative analysis method. In this analysis, since there was no hypothesis test, the method belonged to a kind of qualitative method. The writer has compared the reading objectives, the reading materials, and the reading activities in the textbook and in the 2013 curriculum. Then the writer presented the results of analysis descriptively.
After comparing and analyzing the data, the research found the total number percentage of reading components consisting of the reading objectives, the reading materials, and the reading activities which were required in the 2013 Curriculum are 99,95%. It can be interpreted by Arikunto's classification of conformity level as 'very good' category. In other words, the Pathway to english 2 textbook for the eleventh-grade students of senior high schools written by Th. M. Sudarwati and Eudia Grace were in line with the 2013 curriculum and can be used as a source of intructional material not only for teachers but also for students to achieve the objective of teaching-learning.
