The objective of study is for knowing whether the Content Validity of the reading materials in the English textbook entitle FORWARD for the tenth grade student at SMK Prestasi Prima Jakarta 2013 Curriculum has good content validity or not and it is suitable with K-13 curriculum. This research was administered at SMK Prestasi Prima which is located on Jl. Hankam Raya no. 89, Cilangkap, Cipayung. Jakarta
This research is a qualitative method. It is done by comparing the content of the English textbook entitle FORWARD and syllabus on K-13 curriculum. This research is focused on the reading materials in the English textbook entitle FORWARD for the tenth grade student at SMK Prestasi Prima Jakarta which used for teaching the tenth grade student.
It is found that the 9 out of 10 reading indicators are suggested on the curriculum of 2013 which calculated on percentage is 90% which means very good level of content validity. In line with the reading indicators, reading materials are 4 out of 4 covered on the textbook. The conformity level for reading materials is 100% which means very good level of content validity. Meanwhile, the reading learning activities is only 31 out of 50 on the curriculum 2013 which are presented on the textbook. the suitability level with the Curriculum of 2013 for reading activities in the textbook is 62%, which means sufficient on content validity level. From those contents of curriculum 2013 which are presented on the textbook, it can be percentage as 84% which means which means very good. Therefore, the textbook can be said relevant to Curriculum of 2013.
