SITI KAMILAH. NIM : 1101065220. The Reliability of English Summative Test for The Eleventh Grade Students of The Second Semester of MA ANNIDA AL-ISLAMY West Jakarta in The 2015/2016 Academic Year. Paper, Jakarta : The Study Programme of English Education, The School of Teacher Training and Education, The University of Muhammadiyah Prof. DR. HAMKA, 2016.
The objective of this study is to find out the reliability of English summative test for the eleventh grade students of the second semester of MA ANNIDA AL-ISLAMY West Jakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year. In this research, the writer uses quantitative as a method. The population of the research were the eleventh grade students of MA ANNIDA AL-ISLAMY West Jakarta. The writer took 30 students of one class for the samples of the research. The technique of data analysis is analyzed by using the Pearson‟s Product Moment.
The result of the data analysis showed that the two variables were normal distributions by using Lilliefors test. The result of normality of the data distribution (X variable) Lo= 0.0905 is smaller than Lt= 0.161. The result of normality of the data distribution (Y variable) Lo= 0.0985 is smaller than Lt= 0.161. This interrelated sample data was normally distributed. In the scattered diagram, the data scores were closed to the data linearity line. Therefore, this one was linear.
After analyzing the data, the writer got result that robserved (ro) = 8.48 is higher than rtable (rt) = 1.70 Because the ro > rt , it can be said that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It means that there is a relationship between the students‟ scores of English summative test made by the teacher and the students‟ scores of the parallel test. To know how far significant level between the students‟ score of English summative test and the students‟ score of the parallel test, it is used t-test formula. From the t-test, it is known the result of t-observed = 6.81 is higher than t-table = 1.70. Because the to > tt , it can be said that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It can be concluded that English summative test for the eleventh grade students of MA ANNIDA AL-ISLAMY West Jakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year is reliable. Hopefully, this study will be useful for those who concern with English teaching especially in the reliability between students‟ score of English summative test and the students‟ score of parallel test. It can also become input to all of English teachers and develop better ways of English teaching program.
