The objective of the research was to find whether or not the speaking materials
in the English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris for the Tenth Grade Students Semester 1 were in line with the Curriculum of 2013. The method which was used in this research was a descriptive comparative analysis. The writer compared the contents of speaking materials in the English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris for the Tenth Grade Semester 1 with the English materials listed in the Curriculum of 2013. The speaking materials included the speaking objective, the speaking materials, and the speaking activities. The instruments of this research were checklists that were made based on the basic competences of speaking for tenth grade in the Curriculum of 2013. The research findings showed that the average percentage of the speaking materials in the textbook which were relevant with the Curriculum 2013 was 57.07%. The conformity level of speaking materials in the textbook with the ones listed in Curriculum of 2013 was fair. Therefore, the speaking materials in the English textbook entitled Bahasa Inggris for the Tenth Grade Students Semester 1 are in line with the Curriculum of 2013.
