The objective of this study was to know whether the reading materials in Effective Communication for the eleventh grade Vocational High School written by Agus Widyantoro, Kartika Pratiwi, and Nuki Prihatin are in line with KTSP or not.
The method of this study was descriptive comparative analysis. The writer tries to analyze and compare the content of the reading materials in textbook an English textbook for with the content of School-Based Curriculum (KTSP).
Based on the study, the writer got the percentage of average score of the components is 91.67%. It means that the level of conformity of all reading aspects found in Effective Communication as compared to School Based Curriculum or KTSP is good. Therefore, the reading materials are relevant with School Based Curriculum or KTSP.
