ACADEMIC YEAR.
The objective of the study is to find the answer of the question of the problem: Is
the English summative test made by the MGMP for the tenth grade students of the
first semester of SMKN 6 South Jakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year has good
face validity and reliability? The methods of this study are qualitative for
determining the face validity and quantitative method for determining the
reliability. For the face validity, the writer checked and revised the English
summative test based on the rules of Brown and Hidayati into the conformity
table of face validity. As a result, it showed that the 64% test was fulfilled with
the criteria of good test and the 36% test was not fulfilled with the good test
criterion. For the reliability, the writer calculated the correlation between the odd
scores and even scores by using Pearson’s Product Moment. The result of the
analysis, the writer got ro = 0.46 and rt = 0.261. Because ro > rt, it showed that
there is a significant correlation between odd scores and even scores. From the
statement above, it can be concluded that the English summative test made by the
MGMP for the tenth grade students of the first semester of SMKN 6 South Jakarta
in the 2015/2016 academic year has good face validity and reliability.
