The objective of this research is to find the empirical evidence of whether or not the English summative test for the eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Bekasi in the second semester in the 2015/2016 academic year is suitable to the school based curriculum-Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan (KTSP) and it shows that the English summative test has good content validity. The test consists of 40 items. 35 items are multiple choices questions and 5 items are essay questions.
In this research, the writer used the descriptive comparative method. It was analyzed by comparing the English summative test for the eighth grade students of the second semester on SMPN 13 Bekasi with the curriculum.
From the analysis the writer finds out that the English summative test which is administrated on the second semester of the eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Bekasi in the 2015/2016 Academic Year is not suitable. The percentage of English summative test items is 23.21%. Based on the research finding, the writer concludes that the English summative test for the eighth grade students of SMPN 13 Bekasi in the second semester in the 2015/2016 academic year is not suitable to the school based curriculum. It means that the English summative test does not fulfill content validity.
