The objective of the research is to find out whether the English summative
test in the first semester for the eleventh grade students at SMA Keluarga Widuri
South Jakarta had a content validity or not. This research used comparative
descriptive method. The object of the research was a set of English summative
test of the first semester of the eleventh grade students at SMA Keluarga Widuri
South Jakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year which was tested on Friday,
December 4th 2015.
From the analysis the writer found out that the percentage of reading skills
objective were 100%, the percentage of writing skills objective were 33,3%,
whereas the percentage of materials were 37,5%. And the content of the English
summative test which conformed with the syllabus requirements of Kurikulum
2013 were 57%. It means that the content validity of English summative test of
the first semester of the eleventh grade students at SMA Keluarga Widuri South
Jakarta in the 2015/2016 academic year was not valid.
