The objective of the research was to find the empirical evidence of whether or not the English Summative test for the Tenth Grade students of SMAN 71 Jakarta Timur in the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic year which is in line with Curriculum 2013.
The research used the comparative descriptive analysis method. In this case, the writer compared the English Summative test with learning materials and objectives based on syllabus of Curriculum 2013. The instruments were in the forms checklists which were arranged based on materials and objectives in syllabus of Curriculum 2013. The materials and objectives of each language skills were identified and arranged into the lists. Then, they were changed into the questions as instrument to collect data. The data was calculated by using statistical formula P = F/N x 100% and interpreted used scheme of conformity level from Arikunto’s scheme of level validity.
From the analysis, the writer found that the English summative test which was administered on SMAN 71 JakartaTimur is sufficient valid. It was because the English summative test was in line with materials and reading objective with the content of syllabus. The percentage of all materials was 25% and reading objective was 83%. Therefore, the average percentage of materials and objectives of reading was 54%. In other words the English sumative test for the tenth grade students of SMAN 71 Jakarta Timur in the first semester is categorized into sufficient valid.
