Textbook Entitled Bahasa Inggris for the tenth grade students based on 2013
curriculum. The English Language Teaching Program the School of the Teaching
Training and Education of the University of Muhammadiyah Prof. Dr. HAMKA,
Jakarta 2016.
The objective of the research was to get empirical evidence whether or not
the speaking materials in “Bahasa Inggris” are in line with 2013 curriculum. The
method of the research was a descriptive comparative analysis. In this case, the
writer has compares the contents of the speaking materials in the textbook with
the content of 2013 curriculum. The instruments were lists of questions based on
the indicators of speaking and the learning materials of speaking.
The result of this research showed that the speaking materials in “Bahasa
Inggris” textbook for the tenth grade student of SMAN 85 West Jakarta were in
line with 2013 curriculum. The percentage of the conformity of indicators was
78.57%, and the percentage of the conformity of learning materials was 71.42%.
Therefore, the average percentage of indicators and learning materials is 74.99%
which means fair. The conclusion of this research was that level of conformity of
all the speaking aspects found in “Bahasa Inggris” compared to 2013 curriculum
was fair. Therefore, the speaking materials in the textbook were relevant or in line
with 2013 curriculum.
