The objective of this research was to find the relationship between vocabulary mastery and descriptive writing skill on the tenth grade students of SMA KORPRI Bekasi. The sample of the research is 30 students taken from X.5 by using random sampling technique. The finding of the research show that the average of students‟ vocabulary mastery is 64.2 and students‟ descriptive writing skill is 60. After calculating and analyzing the data, the result show r observed is higher than r table (r observed 1.319 > r table 0.349). So, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between vocabulary mastery and descriptive writing skill on the grade at SMA KORPRI Bekasi.
Thus, it can be concluded that the students‟ vocabulary mastery has taken the importance and positively influencing to the students‟ descriptive writing skill on the tenth grade of SMA KORPRI Bekasi.
