The objective of this research is to know whether or not the English summative test items for the twelfth grade students of SMAN 7 Bekasi, in the second semester of the 2015/2016 academic year has been constructed with the quality of a good test, and to identify the test items which are to be accepted, revised, and rejected. The methods used in this research are quantitative and qualitative analysis method. Quantitative analysis is used in analyzing the data of the difficulty level, the discriminating power and the effectiveness of distracter. Meanwhile, qualitative analysis is used to describe the quality and the weakness of the items.
The population approximately consists of 360 students which are divided into 9 classes, and the writer has taken 2 classes as the respondents which consist of 72 students of the twelfth grade students of SMAN 7 Bekasi of the 2015/2016 academic year. The instrument that is used in this research is the summative test, the anwer sheet, and the answer key.
Based on the analysis of this research, it is concluded that the English summative test items which is administered at SMAN 7 Bekasi has been constructed with the quality of a good test because from 50 items, there are 43 items or 86% items that can be accepted, and only 7 items or 14% items that must be revised. It means, the items can be used in the future test.
