The objective of the study is to get the factual data about the English Summative test for twelfth grade students in the first semester of SMA Budhi Warman II in the 2014/2015 academic year whether it has the quality of good test or not in terms of the difficulty level, and the discriminating power. The test was administered in December. 2014. The population of the research consisted of 226 students. From this population, the writer took out two classes XII IPA-1 and XII IPA-3 numbering 66 students as the sample.
From the tabulation of facility value shows the composition of test: 13 items in the test (37%) are classified as easy items, 16 items in the test (46%) are classified as the medium items, and only 6 items in the test (17%) are classified as the difficult items. In the tabulation of discriminating power, the composition of the test shows: five items in the test (14%) categorized reject, six items in the test (17%) categorized poor, 16 items in the test (46%) categorized satisfactory, and eight items in the test (23%) categorized good.
From the findings of the research, the writer concluded that the English summative test for the twelfth grade students of SMA Budhi Warman II Jakarta in the first semester of the 2014/2015 academic year has good quality of test in terms of the facility value, and the discriminating power.
