DESI MULIA. 1201065050. The Reliability of English Summative Test for the
Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 98 East Jakarta in The First Semester of the
2015/2016 Academic Year. Paper: Jakarta: The University of Muhammadiyah
Prof. DR. HAMKA Jakarta, 2016.
The objective of the research is to get the empirical evidence of whether or
not the English summative test for the tenth grade students of SMAN 98 East
Jakarata in the first semester of the 2015/2016 academic year is reliable. The
writer used split-half method in estimating reliability. The test was administered
on Tuesday, 29th and Thursday, March 31st 2016. The result of the research shows
that the data of the two variables is not significantly correlated after calculated by
using Pearson‟s Product Moment Correlaction. The result is ro (r-observed) = is
0.69 is lower than rt (r-table) = 1.66. It can be concluded ro < rt, that Ho is accepted
and Hi is rejected. Therefore, there is not correlation between the scores of the odd
numbers and even numbers. It means that the English Summative Test for the
Tenth Grade Students of SMAN 98 East Jakarta in the first semester of the
2015/2016 academic year is not reliable.
