The objective of the study was to get empirical evidence of whether or not the reading materials in a textbook, entitled BAHASA INGGRIS provided by the
Ministry of Education and Culture for the second semester of the eleventh grade of senior high school students, had been parralel with the Curriculum of 2013.
The method of the study was a descriptive comparative analysis through which
the contents of the reading materials in the text book were compared with the
contents of Curriculum of 2013. The instruments which were used for the study
were list of questions based on the indicators of reading, the learning materials of reading, and the learning activities of reading. The result of the study showed that
the reading materials in the textbook entitled BAHASA INGGRIS for the eleventh grade in the second semester of senior highs chool, hadbeen based on Curriculum
of 2013. The percentage of conformity of the indicators was 100%, the percentage
of conformity of the learning materials was 100%, and the percentage of
conformity of the learning activities was 41.6%. Therefore, the average percentage of all the contents was 94.4%, which meant very good. In other words,
the textbook entitled BAHASA INGGRIS for the eleventh grade in the second
semester which was provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture for senior
high school, especially the reading materials, had been based on Curriculum of
2013.
