The aim of the research was to find out whether teaching listening using song is more effective than teaching listening without song. The writer used a quasi experiment. The population of this research is 184 students of the tenth grade students’ of SMA Negeri 1 Cibarusah Bekasi in the academic year 2013/2014. The researcher took two classes for 50 students as the sample. In addition, the researcher collected the data by using an achievements test and observation. The result of the research shows that the mean of control group for the pre-test is 76.6 from the total score 1914 and the post-test is 48.4 from the total score 1210, while the mean of experimental group for the pre-test is 53.2 from the total score 1329 and the post-test is 72.5 from the total score 1812. The result of analysis indicates that teaching listening using song is effective to make students increase their listening skill. It is proved by the computation that value of t-test is 8.78. This value shows that there is significant difference because the t-obtained is higher than t-table, 8.78>2.00. It means Ho is rejected whereas Hi is accepted.
